Oran celebrates long-standing employees
ORAN Limited held a small ceremony last week in honour of the company’s long-standing employees, four of whom are retiring at the end of this year.
In a press release to accompany the ceremony, management and staff congratulated these retirees and wished them a long and happy retirement. It states, “the Company recognises the outstanding contribution that these four loyal staff members have made to the success of Oran Limited and publicly thanks them for their hard work and dedication”.
The four retirees are Phillip McGee of the Steel Doors Department, an employee for 34 years; Coreen Morris of the Awning Window Department, an employee of 30 years; Ellaleen Knight of the Louvre Window Department, an employee for 28 years; and Owen Jackman, also of the Louvre Window Department, an employee for 11 years.
In addition to the retirees, Oran Limited celebrated an accumulated 500 years of employment with as many as 38 members of staff who commemorated anniversaries this year. Celebrating 40 years of service to Oran was Hetty Walcott-Yarde; celebrating 35 years of service was Balita Holder; commemorating 30 years of service were Dennis Cooper and Coreen Morris; and celebrating 20 years were Abraham Steinbok, Anthony Nurse, Joan Belle, and Geoffrey Burrows. The remaining employees celebrated, 15, ten and five years of service to the company.
On hand to congratulate the hard-working employees were CEO Scott Oran and President Marshall Oran. The retirees were rewarded with Oran Lounge Chairs so that they could relax during their retirement. (AN)
